Goal

Publish your two new commits to origin.

git push uploads your commits and moves the branch on the server to match yours. Your branch knows where to push because it tracks origin/main — that's its upstream.

Push only ever fast-forwards the server's branch. If the server has commits you don't, it refuses, rather than throw them away. That's next.
